Tom Jones is the founder and director of The H.O.P.E. Project, which works to assist men and boys in their journey of recovery from human trafficking and molestation. H.O.P.E. stands for Healing Outreach and Peer Empowerment. He is engaged in the effort to reduce the demand for prostitution and the sexual exploitation of men, women, and children. He is also a proud leader of the Survivor Leader Network of San Diego. Tom was 6 when his dad molested him for the very first time. He was born and raised in Central Missouri, that’s where his abuse took place. Years later, Tom found himself in the world of prostitution and in San Diego’s red light district. Tom hopes his outreach efforts will inspire other male survivors to “Speak up and speak out,” because boys and men don’t talk about their experiences, molestation and being sex trafficked.
